India, July 1 -- Government's top officials receive a fresh reform mandate amid speculation over a Cabinet reshuffle

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday directed the top functionaries of the Government to focus on two significant elements for people-centric governance - De-regulation and other reforms for ease of doing business and ease of living while working towards the promotion of Aatmanirbharta (self-sufficiency).

In his interaction with the Secretaries of Union Government ministries and departments, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of adopting a whole-of-Government approach and breaking departmental silos, according to sources.
