India, May 4 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the 2026 election results, particularly the BJP's strong performance in West Bengal, as an "unprecedented and historic" turning point in Indian politics.

Addressing party workers at the BJP headquarters in Delhi, the Prime Minister joined BJP National President Nitin Nabin in celebrating what the party called a landmark electoral mandate following the declaration of results across key states, including West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
