India, June 1 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing for bilateral discussions as part of the visiting leader's official trip to India, marking an important engagement between the two neighbouring countries.

The Myanmar President, who is on his first official visit to India in his current capacity, is in the country from May 30 to June 3. According to official details, he was invited by the Indian government and is accompanied by a high-level delegation including ministers and senior officials. The visit includes engagements in New Delhi, Bodh Gaya, and Mumbai, covering diplomatic, economic, cultural, and business interactions.
