India, July 9 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Australia's Governor-General Sam Mostyn in Melbourne and discussed the enduring partnership between India and Australia, focusing on shared democratic values, people-to-people connections and expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

The meeting took place during PM Modi's visit to Australia, the second leg of his three-nation tour. The Prime Minister arrived in Melbourne from Indonesia on Wednesday and earlier held talks with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
