India, June 8 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has marked 12 years in office, highlighting his government's focus on welfare schemes and inclusive development, with special emphasis on the upliftment of the poor and marginalised sections of society.

In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said India has witnessed "remarkable change" over the past 12 years, adding that the government's efforts have been guided by the principle of Antyodaya-ensuring that the benefits of development reach those at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder.
