India, June 20 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in West Bengal on Saturday for a two-day visit packed with development, cultural and defence-related engagements across the state.

After concluding his visit to Odisha, the Prime Minister landed in Hooghly district and is scheduled to attend the state-level Paschimbanga Divas celebrations at Tarakeswar. During the event, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several projects related to railways, agriculture, fisheries, rural development and infrastructure.
