India, May 18 -- A passenger train bound for Patna caught fire at Sasaram railway station in Bihar, triggering panic among passengers and people present at the platform.

The incident took place at platform number six of Sasaram station when the Sasaram-Patna fast passenger train was preparing for departure around 6 am. Suddenly, smoke and flames were noticed coming out of one of the coaches.

Initial reports suggest that a suspected short circuit may have triggered the fire inside the coach. The blaze quickly spread, forcing an emergency response from railway authorities.

Railway Police and fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control after sustained efforts. Fortunately, no casualties were reported ...
