India, April 10 -- Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan on Thursday administered the oath to newly elected member Parth Ajit Pawar, who represents Maharashtra in the Upper House.

Pawar took the oath in English in the chambers of the Chairman in Parliament House. His mother, Sunetra Ajit Pawar, who is the Maharashtra deputy chief minister, was also present. Parth Ajit Pawar is the son of former deputy chief minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar.
