Pal's remarks expunged for second time in Monsoon Session
India, Aug. 12 -- Remarks made by BJP MP Jagdambika Pal while presiding over Lok Sabha proceedings were expunged by Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday, marking the second such instance in the ongoing Monsoon Session.
The expunged remarks referred to Samajwadi Party MP Chotelal, who represents Robertsganj.
According to the sequence of events, the House re-assembled at 2 pm on Wednesday after an adjournment, when Pal, trying to restore order, asked opposition MPs to return to their seats and made a comment referring to Chotelal.
