Pakistan urges US and Iran to resume talks amid escalating Gulf conflict
India, July 16 -- Pakistan has called on the United States and Iran to exercise restraint and return to diplomatic negotiations as military tensions in the Gulf continue to escalate. The Foreign Office urged both sides to revive dialogue under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), warning that continued hostilities could threaten regional peace and stability.
The appeal comes after fresh exchanges of military strikes between Washington and Tehran, including US attacks on Iranian military targets and Iran's retaliatory missile and drone strikes on Gulf countries.
