India, June 22 -- Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday met US Vice President JD Vance on the sidelines of the technical-level talks in Switzerland, aimed at restoring peace in West Asia, his office said.

Sharif reached Switzerland earlier in the day, accompanied by Army chief Asim Munir and a delegation. Top officials from Iran and Qatar have also reached the Burgenstock Alpine ridges, where the talks are taking place.

"Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif meeting with Vice President of the United States JD Vance on the sidelines of US-Iran technical level talks as a follow-up of Islamabad MoU, being held in Burgenstock, Switzerland, 21 June 2026," Sharif's office said in a post on X on Sunday.
