India, July 18 -- More than 66,000 candidates have accepted the undergraduate seats allotted to them by the University of Delhi within a day of the release of the first allocation list under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), according to admission data shared by the university on Friday. The university said 66,251 candidates had accepted their allotted seats till Friday.

Of these, applications of 6,826 candidates had reached the "Approved by Principal" stage, while 896 candidates had completed the admission process by paying the requisite fees. The university also said that 5,141 candidates had been allotted their first preference in the initial round of admissions.
