India, March 23 -- More than 60 people were arrested in a four-day anti-crime drive in northwest Delhi's Rohini area, as police carried out a large-scale operation targeting organised and street crime, officials said on Sunday.
The operation was conducted between March 18 and March 21. It involved 44 police teams that carried out coordinated raids across 79 locations. Police also checked 165 known offenders during the intensified enforcement exercise.
The drive focused on multiple categories of crime, including illegal arms, illicit liquor, gambling, and theft. Police said the action was part of a broader effort to curb criminal activities and increase surveillance in the district.
