India, April 22 -- More than 5.3 lakh women in Delhi are now using the government's Pink Saheli Smart Card, marking a major shift towards digital and accessible public transport for women, officials said on Tuesday. The scheme, introduced by the Delhi government, allows free bus travel and supports seamless movement through a tap-based system.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the growing number of users reflects rising trust in public transport and greater participation of women in daily commuting.
