Opposition stage sit-in near PM residence; both Houses adjourned
India, July 21 -- Opposition leaders including Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi marched to the residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon after both Houses of Parliament were adjourned on Tuesday, July 21. The leaders demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
In a post on X, Rahul Gandhi said that they marched to demand answers and an apology for the police crackdown against students on Monday, July 20.
