India, June 17 -- A Private Jet carrying six people crashed onto a highway in Laredo, Texas, late on Tuesday night, leaving one person dead and triggering a dramatic rescue operation.

The plane caught fire after crashing on Loop 20 near the Texas-Mexico border, causing chaos as motorists stopped their vehicles and rushed to help those trapped inside.

Videos from the scene showed rescuers and bystanders attempting to break the aircraft's cockpit window using tools such as a sledgehammer and shovel to free passengers.
