India, June 14 -- A dispute over water supply turned deadly in a village in Uttarakhand's Dehradun district, leading to violent clashes between two communities that left one person dead and three others seriously injured.
The incident occurred in the Bairagiwala area under the Sahaspur police station limits and quickly escalated into a major law-and-order situation.
According to police officials, an argument over water distribution allegedly turned violent, with members of one group reportedly attacking others using sharp-edged weapons and hammers.
Four people sustained critical injuries during the clash, and one of the victims later succumbed to injuries.
