India, July 17 -- National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval has urged BIMSTEC member countries to deepen cooperation in tackling emerging security challenges, saying the current global environment demands coordinated regional action.

Speaking at the fifth BIMSTEC National Security Advisers' Meeting in New Delhi, Doval highlighted the impact of geopolitical conflicts, rapid technological changes and disruptions in global supply chains on the region's security and economic stability.

Addressing representatives from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand, Doval stressed the need for practical and outcome-oriented collaboration to safeguard regional peace and prosperity.
