India, July 10 -- A Nepali national suffered critical burn injuries after climbing onto the roof of the Mangala Express and coming into contact with a live overhead electric (OHE) wire at Itarsi railway station in Madhya Pradesh. A video of the incident has since surfaced on social media.

According to reports, the man climbed onto the roof of the stationary train when he accidentally touched the high-voltage overhead electric line, triggering a powerful electric arc that left him with severe burn injuries.

Railway staff and bystanders rushed to the spot and rescued the injured man before he was shifted to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. His condition is reported to be critical.
