India, June 22 -- The NEET UG 2026 re-examination was conducted across India on June 21 under unprecedented security arrangements, with authorities ensuring a smooth and fair conduct of the medical entrance test following earlier paper leak concerns.

According to officials, over 22 lakh candidates appeared for the exam held between 2:00 PM and 5:15 PM at thousands of centres nationwide. The National Testing Agency (NTA) had put in place multi-layer security measures, including CCTV surveillance, biometric verification, and strict entry protocols to prevent any malpractice during the examination.
