Nearly 29,000 Form 7 applications filed during SIR in Telangana: CEO
India, Oct. 5 -- Nearly 29,000 Form 7 applications have been submitted in Telangana during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The forms are used to object to a proposed inclusion or request deletion of an existing elector's entry from the final electoral roll.
Hyderabad accounts for around 5,000 of the applications, followed by Siddipet and Sangareddy districts.
Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C Sudharsan Reddy, while sharing the latest status of the SIR exercise in the state on Thursday, said a total of 28,753 Form 7 applications had been received so far.
