India, July 9 -- The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Wednesday launched RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) on Wheels vehicles to collect recyclable waste directly from residents' homes.

The NDMC has also released a citizen handbook on the Solid Waste Management Rules 2026, both developed in collaboration with Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group.

NDMC Chairman Keshav Chandra released the handbook and flagged off the RRR on Wheels vehicles at a programme held at NDCC Phase-II.

The RRR on Wheels initiative extends the reduce, reuse, and recycle model beyond NDMC's existing network of eight micro-material recovery facilities across its area. It is specifically designed for residents who segregate their waste at home but are una...
