India, April 2 -- Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday said the Northeast has entered a phase of peace, security and development under the BJP-led government, after years of violence and instability during the Congress rule.

Speaking at an election rally at Gogamukh in Dhemaji, which was also addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sonowal asserted that Assam was ready to deliver a historic mandate for the BJP-led NDA for a third term.
