India, Aug. 25 -- Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday, August 25 laid the foundation stone for Suzlon's 1,325 MW wind energy projects in Anantapur district, involving an investment of Rs 10,500 crore.

The projects are expected to generate 1,600 direct and indirect jobs, according to an official press release.

Lokesh also inaugurated Suzlon's expanded smart blade manufacturing facility in Anantapur, which has two additional production lines. The expansion is aimed at strengthening the state's renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem.

Lokesh said Andhra Pradesh was committed to building a world-class clean energy ecosystem to support the state's next phase of industrial and economic growth.
