Museum to come up at Delhi Assembly complex, Speaker tells DU students
India, Sept. 2 -- Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Tuesday announced plans to build a museum within the Assembly complex, showcasing the site's history, constitutional legacy and architectural heritage. The speaker made the announcement while addressing Delhi University students under the Secretariat's Youth Outreach Initiative.
Gupta said the proposed museum would display rare historical artifacts, archival documents and interactive exhibits tracing the evolution of local governance in Delhi. He said the plan involves converting parts of the historic 1912 building into a curated public space, offering visitors a direct link to foundational moments in the country's legislative history.
