India, June 23 -- In a tragic high-speed accident on the under-construction Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Badlapur, Maharashtra, 2 people were killed after a BMW reportedly travelling at nearly 251 kmph crashed into a divider, leaving the sole survivor critically injured and now facing legal action.

Police have registered an FIR against Angad Gill, the driver of the BMW Z-series convertible, who is currently in a coma at a private hospital. Authorities said he was prima facie behind the wheel when the accident occurred during a late-night outing that was part of a birthday celebration.
