Misri concludes China visit after talks on bilateral ties
India, July 29 -- Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Tuesday wrapped up his visit to Beijing after two days of extensive discussions with several Chinese officials on the entire spectrum of India-China relations.
The visit by Misri, who was previously India's Ambassador to China, came as the two countries have stepped up bilateral engagement. Earlier in the day, he met Li Wentang, Vice President of the ruling Communist Party's Central Party School in Beijing and discussed opportunities for future cooperation and exchanges. During the meeting, Misri was briefed about the school's historical significance, intellectual contributions and academic programmes, according to a social media post by the Indian embassy here.
