India, Sept. 29 -- The Department of Higher Education has asked central universities to furnish comments on courses that prescribe anti-caste writings, and to give enrolment figures for those courses. The email, sent on Sunday, cites a reference from the Prime Minister's Office to a post on X.

32 pm on September 27 by Raj Kamal Kumar, an Assistant Section Officer in the department's Central Universities-I desk. He works under the Ministry of Education. It went to the registrars of ten central universities. Among them were the University of Hyderabad, Pondicherry University, Rajiv Gandhi University, Tezpur University, Maulana Azad National Urdu University and the English and Foreign Languages University.
