India, June 2 -- Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has met UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade Peter Kyle in New Delhi to fast-track the implementation of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). The meeting focuses on resolving pending issues and ensuring the smooth rollout of the landmark free trade pact between the two countries.

The discussions from both sides will review key areas requiring attention, including the UK's steel safeguard measures and market access concerns. India is also understood to have raised issues related to tariff concessions on certain British products, including Scotch whisky, as both countries work towards addressing outstanding trade matters.
