India, April 10 -- What began as a routine visit by a familiar face ended in betrayal, as a woman allegedly used a pretext of applying mehendi to gain access to a house in Sultanpuri and orchestrate a theft of cash and jewellery worth several lakhs.

Delhi Police have arrested two accused, including a woman believed to be known to the complainant, in connection with the case. A significant portion of the stolen property has been recovered.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer District, Vikram Singh, said the case was cracked through swift investigation and local intelligence.
