MCD cracks down on illegal constructions in Kalindi Kunj
India, June 17 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Tuesday carried out a demolition drive in the Kalindi Kunj of southeast Delhi, targeting structures allegedly built illegally in the Yamuna floodplain's O-Zone.
The MCD officials said only under-construction structures built on the floodplain were being demolished and asserted that strict action against illegal constructions across the city would continue. The action was carried out as part of the corporation's ongoing drive against unauthorised constructions in the floodplain area.
