India, March 3 -- Delhi Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh on Monday urged property owners to avail the benefits of the Property Tax Amnesty Scheme 2025-26, Sumpattikar Niptaan Yojana (SUNIYO). The scheme has now been extended till March 31, 2026. He said the scheme will not be extended further.
Addressing citizens, the Mayor called it a "golden opportunity" to settle outstanding property tax dues without paying penalties or interest. He appealed to all eligible taxpayers to take advantage of the final extension and clear their dues before the deadline.
According to official data, over 1.87 lakh taxpayers have already benefited from the scheme and paid property tax amounting to Rs 1,089.97 crore up to March 1, 2026. Out of this, Rs 211.44 cr...
