India, July 2 -- A massive fire ripped through a multi-storey Vijay Sales electronics showroom in Delhi's Uttam Nagar early Wednesday, destroying stock worth several lakhs. No injuries or fatalities were reported, Delhi Fire Service (DFS) officials said.

The blaze broke out near Metro Pillar 663 around 4:15 am. Visuals from the spot showed towering flames and thick black smoke billowing into the sky as the fire rapidly spread through the building, which was visible from a considerable distance.

According to Rajendra Atwal, DFS Public Relations Officer, nine fire tenders were initially rushed to the scene. As the blaze intensified, additional fire engines were deployed to contain it.
