India, July 2 -- Maruti Suzuki India has announced a Rs.35,000 crore investment to establish a new automobile manufacturing facility near its existing operations in Gujarat, marking one of the company's biggest expansion projects in the country.

The announcement comes as India and Japan continue to strengthen their industrial partnership, with the project expected to significantly boost the country's automobile manufacturing capacity.

The proposed facility will have an annual production capacity of up to 10 lakh vehicles, making it one of Maruti Suzuki's largest manufacturing hubs.
