Manipur CM visits slain musician Vikram Singh family, promises justice
India, Sept. 10 -- Manipur Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh on Thursday assured the family of slain musician Chongtham Vikram Singh that justice would be delivered and those responsible for his death would be brought to book, an official statement said.
Singh made the assurance during a visit to Chongtham's residence at Thangmeiband in Imphal West district.
Speaking to the bereaved family, the chief minister expressed "profound sorrow over the incident", describing Chongtham as an "innocent person who had done no wrong".
Singh met Chongtham's parents, wife and son and assured them of all possible assistance and support from the state government.
