India, Aug. 14 -- Police have arrested one of six suspects in connection with the fatal beating of a man over a land dispute here, officials said on Friday.

Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Brijnandan Rai said the incident occurred late Thursday night near Laxmanpur block in the Lilapur police station area.

Rai said police identified the deceased as Saurabh alias Monu Vishwakarma (32), a resident of Dandi village under Lilapur police station, who worked as a contractual employee in the supply department.
