India, July 17 -- A man was killed and three personnel from the Jammu and Kashmir Police's Special Operations Group (SOG) were injured during a firing incident in Doda district late Thursday night. According to officials, the encounter occurred on the Jaie-Gandoh road after security forces intercepted a man following reports of suspicious movement in the area.

Police said the man allegedly attacked security personnel and attempted to snatch a service rifle during the confrontation. Amid the scuffle, a police officer opened fire, leaving the suspect with critical injuries. Three SOG personnel were also injured in the incident.
