India, May 9 -- Former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee updated her profile on social media platforms X and Facebook, identifying herself as the "Founder Chairperson, All India Trinamool Congress" and listing her tenure as Chief Minister of West Bengal across the 15th, 16th and 17th Vidhan Sabha.

The update came on the same day when BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari was sworn in as Chief Minister following the Bharatiya Janata Party's decisive victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections.

The BJP secured a strong mandate in the 294-member Assembly, winning 207 seats and ending the Trinamool Congress's long-standing rule in the state.
