India, May 23 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said that the State is emerging as a leading hub for artificial intelligence (AI) innovation in the country, asserting that the upcoming Mumbai Tech Week 2026 will be larger and more impactful than last year's edition.

Announcing the event at Sahyadri Guest House, Fadnavis said AI would be the most transformative force in the future and stressed the need to adopt the technology across sectors.

Mumbai Tech Week 2026, scheduled on May 29 and 30 at the Jio World Convention Centre, will see participation of leading global AI companies, including OpenAI, Meta, Anthropic and Google Cloud.
