LG Sandhu seeks market traders' feedback on encroachments, traffic, parking issues
India, Aug. 9 -- Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu has sought feedback from representatives of major markets on issues including unauthorised encroachments, traffic congestion and parking management, while stressing the need to keep commercial hubs accessible and orderly.
Sandhu interacted with representatives of market and traders' associations from several prominent markets, including Sarojini Nagar, Lajpat Nagar, Connaught Place, Mori Gate and Chandni Chowk, where issues affecting traders, shoppers and daily business were discussed.
During the meeting, the lieutenant governor also sought first-hand feedback on the effectiveness of 'Jan Sunwai' being conducted by the Delhi Police at police stations across the city.
