India, Oct. 23 -- Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Ladakh, Rahul Sharma, on Friday announced the schedule for the upcoming general elections to the Municipal Committees of Leh and Kargil, urging eligible voters to actively participate in the democratic process and exercise their electoral rights.

He informed that the electoral roll revision process was undertaken for the 21 wards of Municipal Committee Leh and 17 wards of Municipal Committee Kargil.

The draft electoral rolls were published on October 05, 2026, with October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date.

Following the receipt of claims and objections, necessary additions and deletions were incorporated into the electoral rolls.
