India, Sept. 19 -- The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) took an important step forward on Friday towards implementing its ambitious Aerocity Project. The process of land mobilisation through land pooling was initiated with the consent of the first landowner being obtained in the presence of GDA Vice-Chairman Nand Kishore Kalal.

The proposed Aerocity Project is planned to be developed over approximately 231 hectares of land in the villages of Morti, Ator and Mewla Agri. The proposed International Cricket Stadium will be the major attraction and focal point of the project. The area is envisioned to emerge as a new, well-planned urban centre through modern and organised development around the stadium.
