Ladakh DGP Mukesh Singh transferred to Manipur as New Police Chief
India, May 23 -- The Centre has approved the inter-cadre deputation of Ladakh DGP Mukesh Singh to the Manipur cadre for three years, paving the way for him to become the state's next Director General of Police.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) cleared the move for the 1996-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer in relaxation of standard conditions and in public interest. The decision came just a day after incumbent Manipur DGP Rajiv Singh was elevated to Secretary (Security) in the Cabinet Secretariat.
