Khoda market shut for 5 days after Surya Chauhan Murder; massive security deployed in Ghaziabad
India, June 2 -- Even five days after the murder of Surya Chauhan in Ghaziabad's Khoda area, the local market remains completely shut as grief, anger, and tension continue to dominate the locality.
Surya was stabbed to death on Bakrid (May 28), after which his elder brother Yash Chauhan has been inconsolable, repeatedly asking if his brother will return. The family and residents continue to express deep grief, while the area remains under heavy security cover.
Authorities have deployed around 400 personnel, including police and RRF units, within a one-kilometre radius of the incident site. Barricades have been placed, and drone surveillance and flag marches are being conducted to maintain law and order.
