India, Aug. 3 -- The Kerala High Court on July 10 had directed the state government to ensure that ex gratia amounts are paid on time to the next of kin of those who died in the landslide as well as to those injured in the incident.

Due to which the Kerala government has disbursed a total of Rs 49.25 lakh ex gratia to the kin of those who died and to those injured in the July 7 landslide that claimed eight lives at the Anakkampoyil-Meppadi tunnel project site here, the officials said on Monday, August 3, as reported by PTI.
