Kerala CM V D Satheesan says High Court cleared way for ED probe against Veena Vijayan
India, June 10 -- Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan said that the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) investigation involving Veena Vijayan was enabled by court orders and that the state government has no role in directing or influencing the probe.
Addressing a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, Satheesan said the legal process began after mining firm Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd approached the courts seeking to halt the investigation. However, both the petition and subsequent appeal were dismissed, allowing the ED probe to proceed.
