KEM Medical College sends MBBS student on 15-day leave over cadaver remark controversy
India, June 13 -- Mumbai's KEM Hospital and Medical College has placed MBBS student Sejal Pawar on a 15-day compulsory leave following a controversy over remarks she allegedly made about cadavers during a comedy show. The institution has also barred her from entering the college campus and hostel during the leave period.
The action follows widespread criticism on social media after a video of the remarks went viral. College authorities have constituted a five-member inquiry committee to investigate the matter and submit its findings within seven days.
