India, Aug. 6 -- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday alleged that the Centre plans to introduce ethanol blending in diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF), urging people to avoid buying new petrol or diesel vehicles for the next few years.

In a post on X, Kejriwal claimed the government would increase ethanol blending in petrol beyond the current E20 level and eventually extend the policy to diesel. He alleged that motorists purchasing new E20-compatible vehicles could later be forced to use higher ethanol blends, which he claimed could damage engines.
