India, April 29 -- A college student in Karnataka allegedly died by suicide, with his family accusing police of harassment following his detention during an anti-drug drive. Three policemen have been suspended as authorities launched an investigation into the incident.
The student, Aditya Myageri, a BSc student in Dharwad, was among 18 students detained by Vidyagiri police on April 25. According to officials, he was one of the 10 students who tested negative for ganja consumption and was subsequently released.
