India, July 15 -- Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has said the proposed Karnataka Apartment (Ownership and Management) Bill, 2026 is designed to strengthen the legal rights of apartment owners and address long-standing issues faced by homebuyers. The state government has invited suggestions from apartment owners, residents' associations, developers, and legal experts before finalising the legislation, with public consultations open until August 6.
